There is a solution to every problem. Companies are always concerned about the health and wellness of their employees. Stress levels cause low productivity and absenteeism. Both of which cost the employer time and money. Hard to quantify perhaps but human resource management teams need to consider preventive measures.

The Grooming Team is performing an ongoing survey geared to ‘employees’ in the downtown Toronto area. The results of the first 500 surveys are not surprising. The numbers prove that workplace stress is a real problem within corporations.

75% of respondents feel mid to high level stress. Another 34% feel that their workloads are unmanageable. These same people say that their stress results in absenteeism, anger and low productivity.

Umme K, of the Grooming Team, has come up with the perfect “POWER SPA” solution. Corporations can purchase annual wellness programs, where a team of professionals will come to the office and deliver the mobile spa experience. A corporation can also buy into an incentive program that offers free or discounted treatments for attained goals.

The primary focus of these wellness programs and workshops is on regaining or maintaining balance – mentally, physically and emotionally. It is a fact that happy and healthy employees are productive employees.

Grooming team, thai yoga. Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is a method of therapeutic healing practiced originally in Thailand and India.

The theoretical foundation of Thai Massage is based on the concept of 10 invisible energy lines running through the body which are especially important acupressure points. Disturbances in this flow of energy can result in sickness. Stimulating the flow of healing energies within the body, opening the areas which are blocked, and bringing the body, mind and spirit back into balance and harmony for health, happiness and wellness of being.

The kneading of muscles that is dominant in western massage techniques are absent in Thai Yoga. Thai Yoga is a unique and powerful system, which combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, stretching exercises, gentle twisting, energy work and meditation.

Thai Yoga creates a powerful release of stress and tension, an increase in vitality and well being, and it deepens the connection between mind, body and spirit in both the giver and the receiver.
