The cofounders of AMBI Group, Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi, are very passionate about using the AMBI Gala as a platform for a medley of social causes, and using film as an instrument to help the people of the world. It is their intention to host galas in cities around the world where AMBI makes films.
AMBI Pictures was launched in 2013 by prolific Italian-Canadian film producer Andrea Iervolino and business-woman, producer and philanthropist Lady Monika Bacardi. AMBI Group finances, produces and sells feature films for the worldwide market. In June 2014, AMBI Pictures opened a distribution office in Toronto, where its newest film – the animated 3D family feature “Arctic Justice: Thunder Squad,” featuring the voices of Alec Baldwin, John Cleese, James Franco, Angelica Houston, Heidi Klum and Omar Sy, is in production.
CINEMA TO HELP THE WORLD
As an international media group with offices and activities around the globe, it is AMBI’s intention to host galas in different cities globally, directing the proceeds to charities in the communities where the galas are held.
This year’s charitable funds will be directed to organizations serving the environment and disadvantaged youth, to reflect Andrea’s life story, leaving home at 15 and ultimately becoming a successful film-maker with some 60 credits to his name at only 28 years old.
AMBI Gala 2016 supported The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and two Toronto-based charities which assist local disadvantaged youth. The Prince’s Foundation supports the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale.
Children’s Aid Foundation helps children interacting with the child welfare system who have been abused, neglected and abandoned. UforChange provides young people with alternative training and arts education in the disciplines of film, fashion, acting, dance, photography and DJ arts.
